Hi my name is Andie; I’m crazy about unique vintage things. Jewelry and dresses are two of my favorite things. One of my best pass times is thrift shopping and hanging out with my best friend Livvy (Olivia). We have so much fun watching oldie movies and just plain old hanging out. I’m a non violent person so pretty much I’m a flower child. I love going to new places and exploring the world around me. For college I plan on going to Alverno major in nursing and a minor in professions in communication to work with photography. My dream is to one day become a photojournalist but nursing for now is my goal.
As for my outfit today I wore one of my classic favorites. My dress is a fifties style with funny vintage comics. The jacket I chose for my dress is a comfy thin lacy little thing. The shoes I’m wearing are vintage Steve Madden. As for my jewelry its a bit of a mix between new and old.

What a wonderful day to be inspired. On Friday Andie and myself found ourseleves at the Milwaukee Public Art Museum. It is definitely one of the most of memorable places in Milwaukee, due to the fact that the building itself is a piece of art. With its beautiful structure and unique design, each person’s interpretation is different. As we walked the galleries looking at the stunning artwork we realized how much of fashion is inspired by art. One example would Andie’s gorgeous dress which captures the humour and style of pop art. When a designer looks at a painting, they are able to create an entire story made up of clothes. These clothing stories can convey emotions and reactions similar to that of a painting.
For our little excursion I couldn’t resist wearing this fabulous little vintage number I recently picked up. This sweater is now one of my absolute favorites with is plush texture and amazing pearl detail on the front. Since the sweater is such a statement itself i paired it with a basic pencil skirt and my purple fedora; another one of my thrift shop finds.
