Wild and Free

I have really been into the bohemian style recently. Maybe it’s because Coachella is going on, but I’ve hopped on the band wagon with the whole 70’s trend. I’m not a big print person, but I fell in love with this vintage cross pattern. The warm colors create a softer look and give it a more romantic feel. There’s something about Spring that makes me want to wear light and flowy pieces. But I do like to pair them with tougher accessories to give it some edge. This bag I got from H&M is one of those pieces. I can’t resist fringe so I knew I had to have it when it first caught my eye. It has been one of my best purchases, and it is surprisingly versatile.

To join in the spirit of Coachella, I’ve been listening to Florence and the Machine non-stop.Words can’t describe how much I want to see her in person and I’m sad I have to miss out. Instead her latest single St. Jude has been playing on repeat from my tiny dorm room. For those of you also wishing you were there, I’d love to hear what’s on your festival playlist?

Changing Tides

For awhile now I have been struggling with my chosen major. Not so much with the grades, but if whether on this is what I want to spend the rest of my life doing. It has been a constant shadow on the back of my mind. So for the past few weeks I needed time to myself to figure things out. To ask myself “Is this right for me?”. The idea of switching has always been absurd to me because I get so stuck in my ways. I’m a person that tends to over analyze situations, never really going with my gut feeling. But this past weekend I woke feeling that the switch was the right thing to do. I just knew that this was going to be better, and I’d be a lot happier. Of course, I still worry that I’m making a mistake or may come to regret this. But for the time being, I know it’s something I have to do. And hope that everything works out the way it’s supposed to.

(By the way, I dyed my hair!)

In Between Dreams

I don’t think I’ve owned a pair of overalls since I was six years old. I used to hate denim at the time, always refusing to wear my jean jacket. But now I wouldn’t know what to do without in my wardrobe. I really like the vintage look of these, and am glad I made the purchase. I was really nervous while buying, just because I wasn’t sure how they would fit. But I’ve come to really love them and the 80’s vibe they give. I think they’d be adorable with a striped and some funky jewelry.
